Summary of year 2014 and goals for 2015

Hi folks

First of all, many apologies for my absence in blogging in the last few months. I have been rather busy with my micro business and my small family. 2014 is such a memorable and emotional year with love, hate, sweet and bitter. However, looking back, I feel like I have grown up a little and those memories indeed gave me priceless lessons. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you, my stitchy fellows and wish you all the best in the coming year(s).

While searching for my goals for year of 2014 that I posted here in back in January, I realized I missed half of the goal I set LMAO. Let's review again my goal and achievements so far:

1. To finish Dandelion Clock Dance by HAED:

Started point in Jan 2014:

And I finished it in April 2014

2. To finish two bottom rows (full page row) of "Autumn" by Jacek Yerka (HAED/ SAL with Pull the other thread):

Started point in January 2014

I did not achieve the goal :-( The last time I touched this piece was back in August >_< . I feel terribly ashamed with my SAL partner Pull the other thread :-( In total, I accomplished 6 pages with full x stitch. Here how it looks

My goal in 2015 is to achieve the goal I set for 2014 T__T and we will see from there lol

3. To finish the first row (full page row) of Ryo by Haruyo Morita (HAED)
My started point in January 2014 and how it should look like

Achievement: NONE. I totally abandoned it! I know! I am totally hanging in shame right now >_<
Goal in 2015: again, is to achieve the goal I had set for 2014

And the fun part, I had started plenty new starts ROFL! So let's find out why I didn't achieve my 2014 goals!

I started....

1. Magic Fire by Esmira (Paine Free Crafts, finished size 397 x 400). Started in January, stitched on 28 count lugana

Here how it looks in October 2014, 8 pages done.

My goal in 2015 is to finish the top row and hopefully a bit of both sides >_<

2. Dunlee Darnum by JB Monge (Tilton Crafts). Finished size 300 x 419. Started in Feb, stitched on 28 count lugana as well

By Oct, I have more than a half of the chart done as you can see above. My goal is to have it finish in 2015. Oh it's gonna be HARD LOL

3. Daenerys by Elena Berezina (Love Thy Thread Designs, out of business). Finished size: 300 x 300. Started in February 2014 and finished in May 2014

4. Sparkles by LTT. Started and finished in a day

5. Sullenly Sweet by Sheena Pike (LTT) Stitch count: 240 x 315. Started in May and here how it looks in September, 11 pages done

6. Roses are red by Sheena Pike (LTT) Stitch count 210 x 311. Started in June and below is how it looks in September

Top 4 pages done
Goal of 2015: is to finish her!

7. Bluebell by Sheena Pike (LTT) Stitch count 169 x 169. Started in July and finished in August (1 week)

8. In this house by Love Thy Thread. Started and finished in summer (Sorry I can't recall the date >_<)

9. Never let anyone dull your Sparkle by Love Thy Thread. Started and finished within the same day in September

10. Dead Heart by Logan Knight (Color Cascade Designs) Stitch count 405 x 500. Started somewhere in summer lol, stitched on 25 count magic guide

9 pages done so far, my goal is to "try" to have it finish by the end of 2015. I think I need another life @@

11&12. I also started World by Heffernan (TC) and Impossibillium by Aimee Steward (HAED) but there is nothing much to show and I have no intention to make progress this year as I am fully booked and loosing interest. I might touch them if I have spare time after accomplishing all the goals I have set so far.

13. Autumn Fairy (Love Thy Thread). It's actually a small chart but somehow I got distracted way too much and haven't been able to finish her yet so my goal is to finish her in 2015

14. Blue Bell by Nora Corbett: Started and finished in December, first time beading :o

15. Wonderous Winter by Lyne Nicolet. Started and finished in December as well

16. Messing About by Chris Dunn (PFC) Started in Dec, only 1 page done so far

17. Others: I also started several small-medium charts in 2014 such as Owl (LTT), Guardian of Koi (LTT), Here Comes the Wind (Glendon Place), Hummingbird (Love Thy Thread) and Roses (Northen Expression Needleworks). I'm not sure if I can make much progress on each of them but might pick some to stitch as a small break between big projects.

Overall, I have way too many new starts in 2014, some finishes and some hanging in shame. My new year resolution is to reduce that shame and only have new start when I have at least 1 finish. That sounds ridiculous I know but I really need some discipline to control the new start devil in me lmao.

What's your 2014 in review and what's your 2015's goal and resolution? Please let me know! I'd love to hear!

xoxo

I'm back! LOL

Hi folks
Many apologies for lack of updates on this blog. I have been through many things since but today I woke up and realized how much I miss blogging and reading you guys' beautiful notes about your stitching experiences. I must make a come back! LOL

So you guys might question what I have been doing since my last post. Well, apart from tiny bit of busy working schedule, I did manage to get some small stitching done ^_^

First up it's "In this house" by Love Thy Thread Designs. It's like a small sampler, stitched on 32 count Jobelan "Cool Moss" by Sunny Dyes. I used hand dyed flosses and silks from Thread Pickerz and Fiberlicious (my flosses lol)

Then another one also from Love Thy Thread, a freebie that you can get with every purchase on there website. I stitched on 28 count Opal Lugana "Cotton Candy" by Hand dyed by Stephanie, using "Dreamy Dusk" thread from Fiberlicious blended with Petite Treasure Braid "Sparkles" from Rainbow Gallery. I stamped the fairy on the fabric to personalize, cause I'm just nosy :-p

I made another new start "Autumn Fairy" by LTT from the Ezine Autumn issue. Stitched on 28 count Opal Lugana "Fairies' Roses" by Sunny Dyes.

Here how she should look like when finished

And when I was trying to get her finished, one of my friend introduced me to Passionate Riccamo and I was like crazy when I saw this fairy, and yep I bought it @@ Is she adorable???

Do you guys think I should start stitching her???
I think I'm crazy! I have so many wips XD

Have a lovely weekend!

Autumn SAL August 15

Hi peeps

How is the weather at your place? I wonder if I'm the only one in the mid of August still sweating when the air-con is ON! The weather in my place is getting super weird. Now I feel the song "Hot and Cold" by Kate Perry more than ever!!! oh no maybe "Cruel Summer" LOL

OK, so after a super busy but fun week of testing all the dyes and stuffs, my time for stitching drops dramatically. And I feel that I had more fun dying than stitching! But hey, I use that hand dyed flosses for stitching anyway LOL. Here is my Autumn by the way

Did I tell you I had a finish of another project???

Squeeeeal "Blue Bell" by Sheena Pike (Love Thy Thread Designs)

I'm thinking of sewing it into a throw pillow! Any suggestion????

Autumn SAL July post

Hi peeps

It's getting so much hotter here in the state. In this season, people here are crazy about BBQ and camping. I don't. I'd rather stay at home with my air-con on. Or I will be melted. I know I can fry an egg on the road right now with this freaking temperature so why should I fry myself out there! How is the weather at your side?

I also blame the hot weather for my slow progress in stitching. I don't feel like doing anything! Yeah, singing Bruno Mars' Lazy Song!!!

Don't be mad at me if I don't have much progress to show, only half a page done hehe

Na na na na I dont feel like picking up my needles cause today I swear I am not doing anything...Nothing at all whoo whoo LMAO

Have fun! And don't forget to check out Pull the other thread blog for her progress this month!

xoxo

Updates on my current WIPS and new starts (Love Thy Thread and Color Cascade)

Hi folks

It has been a while since my last updates. I thought I should have something extraordinary to show you guys but I dit not catch up with the original plan I have in mind. Family matters, personal matters, life and etc. I also realized that I caved in too many new starts recently which make my progress look slower than it should be. Though how much I want to take it positively, I still feel incredibly guilty for not touching some of them for a long long time. I must learn how to deal with it or I seriously will end up stare at them and sigh instead of stitching.

OK, now it's picture time!

As you might know, I and Alicia aka Crafty Princess are SAL-ing a chart from Tilton Crafts called "World" by Heffernan. Please look through her blog as well to see how insanely she has done. Mine is pathetic LOL. I started from the middle so here is the first row of that page.

To get an idea of how it looks like when it finished, here is the original art

My progress on Magic Fire by Esmira (Paine Free Crafts)
about more than 7,000 stitches done. I did not count LOL

Next is Dunlee Darnum by JB Monge (Tilton Crafts) 1,600 stitches perhaps

Sullenly Sweet by Sheena Pike (Love Thy Thread) not count how much i've done lol

New start: Roses are red by Sheena Pike (Love Thy Thread) I've mentioned about this in my previous post.

New start Dead Hearts by Logan Knight (Color Cascade Designs)

Original Art:

My stitching: First page DONE. This is such an incredibly detailed chart with heavy confetti alert. However, the result you get is very worth it.

New start: Guardian of Koi by Sabine Rich (Love Thy Thread) on 28 count Opal Lugana in Sweet Child O'mine hand dyed Fabby by Color Cascade Fabric.

Hope you guys enjoy and having a good time here in my blog. Leave a comment and see you next time!

A pathetic update on Autumn SAL

Hi folks

Yes the title says it all. I am literally hanging in shame. There are only about 2,100 stitches done this month on "Autumn". I hardly can explain why I only stitched it last night T.T.  I think I'm pretty far behind Pull the other thread Lol. I keep being distracted by new starts and there you go a sinful serial starters.

Updates on WIPS and new start(s)

Boo!

I have been disappearing~~~ I know!  I have been nursing my tooth so now I can eat my favorite crispy rice again woohoo! My Macbook gone wild the day before yesterday and as a result I had to spent the whole day queuing at Apple store to get it fixed. Not a pleasure experience at all. Despite from that, I think I did a good job with stitching. So here you go, stitching summary of May:

Daenerys by Love Thy Thread

Yes, she is nearly finished, 8 more pages to go. Have no idea why this blog makes her so grey, should be beautiful dreamy baby blue! Hopefully I can get her done in June!

Dunlee Darnum by Tilton Crafts:

Not done much on this recently, I was too busy stitching Daenerys! But hey, I got the owl done. i am not sure I will come back to this piece anytime soon because I found way too many distraction including these new starts:

Sparkle Love Thy Thread: Stitched 2 over 2 on 32 count Belfast in Opal Oberon (Hand dyed fabric by Steph) with hand dyed silks by Thread Pickerz:

And this: Sullenly Sweet by Sheena Pike

Original Art:

My stitching:

Isn't she pretty!!!!!

And more importantly, she has a companion, gifted to me by sweet Crafty Princess: Lithium

To complete the collection, I also bought:

Ebony

Entrap

Roses are Red
All of these artworks are created by Amazing SHEENA PIKE in her Malevolence Collection. You can visit her artworks here. They are charted by Love Thy Thread Designs and can be purchased here. For those who love tea, she also has a tea and season collection. Here is one of them which I might buy when I have more penny to spend:

Tea in the Moonlight
So that's my stitching results in May! I hope you enjoyed it and leave some comments below which one you want to see most. I will try my best to crack it for ya!

xxx

Leave a sparkle wherever you go!
